3.4.12

12 months -> 12 projects

I said in January that I'd be making coasters for my friend and my cousin, but February has been a very short month, it went by very fast! So I decided to postpone that project.

Instead, this is the project I accomplished:
It will be hanging in Allison's bedroom when we move to Houston about three months from now.

Back to the blog world

It's been a long time since I last posted, a whole season to be precise. But, I have to say that, as I announced in the previous post, fall makes my creativity flow and I'm going to prove it to you.

First of all, I finished my Fall Minibook. Here are some of the pages:
This is the first time I decided to do something on a daily basis and I succeed. Just to make sure it hasn't been something temporary, I'm going to start a Winter one. I haven't bought it at Elise's shop like the Fall Minibook, I had some Christmas and winter look patterned papers and I'm going to assemble it myself, let's see if it works...
My purpose is to document a whole year using four minibooks. So, three to go :)

Apart from that, I have had an idea for a while in my mind now. Valery wanted me to do it by myself when I definitely moved to the US but I need somebody to tell me: "hey, this needs to be done by friday!"So I called my friend Maria, I explained to her my idea and she loved it! She actually had that too but she also needed somebody else, ha!

So, a couple of weeks later we started this:
Right now we are in the "making stuff phase", we are going to start uploading pictures on our page in Facebook and trying to sale it to retailers.

Busy like crazy at this moment but I'm going to make it, definitely! I'm motivated and excited.

World, there we go!

P.S.: Another tiny big announcement will be made soon :)

Quick Update

Lately, I have been working on the Fall MiniBook that I bought at Elise's shop. Here is the first page, more on that this weekend.

I have also finished the CD and Thank You cards for all the friends and relatives that came to our wedding, they should be receiving that by now.

And I have also started our mini honeymoon album...

I'm totally busy with my classes and work that I can hardly focus on my hobbies. Anyway, I always find a little bit of time to work on it.

Oh, quick update on the previous post. It looks like Fall went back to where he was before appearing a few weeks ago... it's sunny and hot all day long :(

Xmas Journal

Yesterday I was reading the blogs (listed in my Daily Read page) and I decided to start puttig together the Xmas Journal.

It was Elise who encouraged me to do it, I watch her video and I think she is very inspiring and you can tell that she loves what she does.

Well, I don't have a mini book like hers but I have a journal I made almost a year ago and I'm going to use it. The pages are white pages of different sizes and some of them with lines or squares, just regular paper from old notebooks.

These are the pictures of the pages I have completed:

I will work on the front page when I finish the journal. I think I will embroider it. Any other suggestions?

Wedding Wednesday

...on Friday :)

Yes, I know I'm two days late but I'm super busy: group projects, several translations every week, preparing material for the kids and so on.

However, I have had time to make appointments for the week V will be here and I can happily say that I'm finishing the wedding invitations!

Next step: drawing the "how-to-get-there" map and designing our first personal cards.

Lots of things to do... still work in progress in this matter. Anyway, patience and late night work.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

New Journal

Hi! Last thursday was my friend Anahí's birthday and I made her a red journal , as this is her favourite colour. It turned out like that:

Have a nice sunday!

Back to school

When I hear those three words, I can't help getting nervous. I think it's exciting in some way: new teachers, new school bag, new notebooks, new class, new books... everything is new! Is there something more exciting than using new stuff? I just love that word and hearing it makes me shiver of excitement.

However, for me to get to start saying "my new whatever", I have to pass my Ús Comparat exam on wednesday. I know some classmates started studying in July but I don't think that subject is such a difficult one to be studying for two months. My only problem is the spelling and, yes, I've been working on it my way: reading a lot in catalan. And now it's when I study all the theory. I think I'll do good. I'm confident.

Anyway, going back to the new stuff. If any of you wants to have a new notebook with your name or the name of the subject you're gonna use it for, let me know and I'll make one for you. You can contact me by email or by facebook and have a unique notebook like the one I made for myself, can you guess the subject I used it for?

Have a nice monday!

A new Journal

I'm not really busy these days so I take my time to finish projects. This is the last one I've finished: a journal.
I have started to make some others that I think I'll finished next week, and then I'll show them to you.

A lot of people is encouraging me to have my own online shop and I have to say that I'm thinking about it. It isn't a bad idea. I have no job right now so it could be a good way to earn some money. Thinking, thinking, seriously thinking about it.

Have a nice thursday!

Going back to the craft world :)

My mum's boss has become a grandpa and she has bought something for the babygirl but she needed a card, so I made it.

For the past days I've been feeling lazy. I have a lot of projects in mind but I don't feel like making them. My mind is continuously working and maybe that's what make me feel tired. My life is changing in an unexpected way: I accept it but I have to get used to it. As a solution, I'm going to take up my yoga classes again. I'll be starting in a few days and going twice a week. I'm excited, I just love to do yoga.

I just can say...

Do yoga, my friend!

I promise!

Y si me lanzo a hacer alguno, os los enseñaré orgullosísima :)

Feliz semana!

Cuadro+Receta

Deliciosa!

Ya estamos a mitad de semana! Feliz miércoles!

New Camera Bag!

I have received this morning my new camera bag and I love it, I love it even more than when I saw her on Etsy. So... Here it is:
I know the picture isn't to good but today has been a grey day and there was no sunlight coming in through my windows.

Ok, I bought it through Etsy as I said before and the brand is Gypsy Rose Handbags, that is the link to same one I bought but you can click on "items for sale" and you'll se plenty of camera bags.

Enjoy the day!

More Notebooks

I have been very busy lately, but I have had time to make some notebooks for my friends. I was so excited when I was making them that I forgot to take a picture of each one separately. Instead of that, I have this one:
I gave them the notebooks during a dinner in an asiatic-mediterranean restaurant which I highly recommend: Wagaboo. It is located in C/ Valencia (with C/Pau Claris) in Barcelona.

A few days ago I also made these two (and some others that I also forgot to take a picture of):

I have also attend a class with Kelly Purkey about creating layouts but I haven't practised using the ideas and sketches that she gave us. So... That's all for now!

Happy Easter everyone!

7.2.10

New things!

It's been a long time since I last post something! I have been extremely busy with all the papers I have had to write for the school. But, between paper and paper, I have found some time to create.

The first thing I want to show you is the first notebook I have made with my new "Bind-It-All" that my sister gave me for Christmas. I needed a notebook for my Français class so I made it myself instead of buying it. This is the result:
(paper from Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry collection)

The next I made was a card for St. Valentine's Day and a 2010 calendar that I have already send to V. He is going to received by the 13th so I'll upload the picture when he receives it, ok? And I hope he doesn't read this post :S

The last things I have made are another notebook, a rolled pencil case and a birthday card, all for my friend Cristina whose birthday was on February 1st. I gave it to her yesterday and I think she loved everything, right, Cristina?(paper from Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry collection)

(papers from Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry collection, Martha Steward and American Crafts cardstock)

This are all my new creations. Some friends say that I should make more stuff and sell it in some shops in Barcelona but I'm not too sure about it... What do you think?

Have a nice week!
